In a recent conversation the question was asked, "What's left that is stock?"
Here is the list of Original parts that have NOT been replaced or upgraded:
- The iconic chrome Bullet Nose and air grilles
- All body panels
- Frame, minus the original transmission cross member
- Headlight buckets (behind headlights)
- Horn(s), although relocated
- Front Cross member
- Front wheel hubs, control arms, & sway bar
- Steering column
- Rear view mirror
- Dash panel, but only the metal panel
- Door handles (internal & external)
- Vent window frames
- Seats (but not the upholstery)
- Drive shaft center carrier
- Rear rocker panels
- Hard brake lines - excluding rear drivers side
- E-Brake cables
- Rear glass
- Rear axle, sway bar, dampeners
- Rear bumper
Items that were replaced in kind:
- Most rubber components
- Hood ornament
- Hood "mustaches" (rechromed)
- Hood Springs
- Fender spears
- Brake shoes (relined)
- Other brake parts
- Windshield center bar
- Map light
- E-Brake handle
- Glove box door and lock
- Door handles (interior) and escutcheons
- Front rocker panels
- B-Pillar ash trays
- Rear drivers side hard brake line.
- Trunk seal
- Trunk latch (complete unit)
- Tail light bezels
Things that are NOT stock to this make, model, or trim package. Working from front to back:
- Head Lights, replaced with LED w/driving rings
- Head light bezels, was stock and painted, now chrome via higher trim option
- Turn signal indicators, converted to amber color
- Paint, original was Aspen Grey, now Mitsubishi Mirage Plasma Purple
- Hood badge, replaced with 1951 V-8 version
- Front bumper, replaced bulky original with push style bumpers
- Fender Spear Jewels, replaced with amber colored castings
- Alternator (now chrome)
- Rims, was stock steel wheels with covers, now American Racing Rims
- Radiator, aluminum aftermarker
- Radiator overflow, aluminum aftermarker
- Electric radiator fan with thermostat control and relay
- Engine, original was a flat 6, now a SBC 327
- Front shocks, converted to Champion option (not available on Commanders)
- Exhaust, complete system
- Wideshield wiper motor, was vacuum powered, now electric 3 speed
- Glovebox light, LED
- Transmission, original was manual 3 speed with OD, now a 200R4 Automatic
- Drive shafts
- Glass, original was clear, now tinted (smoked) where possible
- Entire wiring scheme, was 6 volt positive, now 12 volt negative
- Turn signal stock and horn button
- Fuzzy dice (well duh)
- Start pull "T" handle, from earlier models, now part of security options
- Dash Gauges, replaced with modern versions
- Glove box, original was cardboard, now aluminum
- Side Mirror, upgraded to higher trim option
- Shifter, was on colunm, now a Camero Horseshoe in custom center console
- Interior - Complete custom interior
- Gravel Gaurds, from higher trim option
- Trunk divider, was cardboard, now fiberboard
- Electric fuel "jpusher" pump
- Fuel tank, replaced with top loading inside trunk
- Fuel door guard, aftermark option from 1951
- Trunk carpet, removed original truck mat
- Trunk light, LED with mercury switch
- Battery tray, relocated battery to trunk
- Reverse light, upgraded from original to LED
- Tail light lens, was Commander style, now Champion version

- Climatizer vent blank, fabricated blank with removal of system
- Brake pedal, original automatic transmission style
- Year of Manufacture plates, did not have this at purchase but recreated later.

- LED behind jewels that are part of the turn signals
- Dash Cams, front and rear
- Bluetooth speakers
- Center Console (custom built with cup holders), Camero shifter panels
- Steering wheel knob

- Wheel adapters, to mount rims
- Battery Cut off remote switch
- Battery Trickle Charger
